General safety at work information

GENERAL

The right and duty of the visitor or the person who will enter the protected area of the construction site is to familiarize themselves with the rules of safe movement and other general instructions and rules that they are obliged to implement if they are in the protected area of the construction site. For this purpose, each visitor or contractor receives general information or rules applicable in the construction site area before entering the protected area of the construction site, which is confirmed by a signature at the entrance control or the reception office of the construction site.

Entry card

The visitor or interventionist collects the entry card at the access control – reception office by presenting a valid photo ID (ID card, passport). An interventionist is a person who enters a construction site area once (e.g. a truck driver delivering materials or equipment). Inside the security fence of the construction site, it is necessary to carry an entry card in a visible place, hung at chest level. Lending an access card to another person is a serious breach of contractual obligations.

The entry and movement of visitors or interventionists in the protected area of the construction site is allowed only if accompanied by an authorized person and in accordance with his instructions.

Before entering the controlled area of the construction site, everyone must be equipped with basic personal protective equipment, namely: a protective helmet, a reflective vest and protective work shoes.

Helmets must be marked with the last name and first name of the user and the name of the company. Depending on their role in the implementation of the LILW project, users shall wear the following helmet colors:

WHITE
Workers of the Client and Authorized Construction Supervisors

RED

YELLOW

ORANGE

Leaving a group led by an authorized person or companion can be very dangerous and is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN.

DIVISION OF THE CONSTRUCTION SITE INTO ZONES OF MOVEMENT

The protected area of the construction site is divided into two areas according to the level of safety risks:

These include administrative premises, changing rooms, sanitary facilities (chemical toilet, washroom, etc.), access control (reception office), education facilities,.. Persons are allowed to move in this area without additional requirements arising from an increased level of safety risks (occupational safety and health and fire safety).

II. AREA OF MOVEMENT

This includes the wider construction site and technological space. Workers who are operationally involved in construction technological processes during construction, workers who maintain or supervise the operation of machines, work devices and preparations, supervisory and technical staff, other support staff and workers or visitors accompanied by an authorised person may stay in this area. In this area, the strict use of the prescribed personal protective equipment applies with regard to current hazards and harmfulness and compliance with the prescribed safety measures.
